Kellie De Waal is an emerging contemporary artist based in regional New South Wales, whose work is characterised by themes of nostalgia, hope, and joy. Her work is designed to tell a story through repurposing materials in unexpected ways.

Drawing inspiration from growing up in Australia during the 90s and 00s, Kellie’s sculptures breathe new life into discarded materials, weaving together the elements of past and present to evoke a sense of wonder and bring about a state of reminiscence.

Since debuting on the art scene in November 2023, Kellie has quickly garnered attention for her unique vision. With two successful exhibitions under her belt and two more on the horizon for 2024, Kellie continues to captivate audiences with her creations.

Prior to a career in the arts, Kellie enjoyed a successful career in marketing, earning national recognition for her innovative work in the travel and government sectors.

Whether transforming discarded materials into works of art or exploring the complexities of the human experience, Kellie remains committed to creating art that inspires, uplifts, and resonates with her audiences.
